Jack Gibbons, interviewed by Selina Scott on NBC, describes how to play Gershwin in one easy piano lesson. This clip shows shows Jack talking about Gershwin's unique version of 'stride bass' with which the composer embellished his own virtuoso improvisations, and which made his playing legendary at New York's high society parties in the 1920s. Gibbons uses music examples from his own reconstruction of Gershwin's improvisation on "When Do We Dance?" as recorded by the composer in London in 1926.
